Bishop is one of many victims of stabbings in Sydney, days after the tragedy at the shopping mall.

Just two days after a large-scale stabbing in a crowded mall shocked Sydney, Australia, a number of people, including a bishop, were reportedly stabbed on Monday. A priest appears to have been attacked during a ceremony at Christ The Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley, Western Sydney, according to footage of the incident. Following their despatch to the scene, a man was taken into custody and is currently "assisting police with enquiries," according to New South Wales police.

A man wearing all black is seen in a video that has gone viral on social media approaching Mar Mari Emmanuel, the bishop of Christ the Good Shepherd. While parishioners cried out and rushed to his aid, he is seen repeatedly stabbing the man in the head and upper body at the altar. Several paramedics were dispatched to the church by NSW Ambulance after they received a call at approximately 7:15 p.m.
