🍷 The parent company of Nepenthe and Barossa Valley Wine Company has withdrawn from merger talks with the owner of South African wine brands, including Hardy's and Petaluma.

🎒 The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), Australia's national regulator, has officially registered Adelaide University as a higher education provider.

🚧 Residents and commuters can now see how a realigned Grange Road, Holbrooks Road, and East Avenue intersection will work. The $90 million upgrade will realign Holbrooks Road and East Avenue to eliminate the ‘dogleg’ intersection and make crossing Grange Road at Beverley faster and easier.

🏫 The $98 million Adelaide Botanic High School expansion is almost complete, and students will move in today. The extension delivered over 9000 square metres of new teaching, learning, and working spaces to meet CBD and inner north demand and fulfil a key election promise.

🗳️ Australian Company Makes History with Certified Flushable Wet Wipes

An Australian manufacturer has produced the first certified flushable wet wipe, which is now available at Foodland. This will help reduce the environmental and infrastructure impact of wet wipes. Traditional wet wipes don't break down like toilet paper and clog sewerage networks, causing problems for Australian and global water utilities. The Hygiene Co., which makes flushable wet wipes in Woodville North, is the first Australian manufacturer to be certified to the new AS/NZS 5328:2022. The Hygiene Co.'s flushable wipe fabric was certified after seven stages of testing, including clearing plumbing lines and breaking apart.

Perth to Adelaide Just Got a Whole Lot Easier: Rex Airlines Introduces Affordable Flights

In an effort to draw in more interstate tourists to South Australia, Rex Airlines will begin operating three weekly flights from Perth to Adelaide starting next month. Rex Airlines' first Perth-Adelaide flight will increase competition on the route and draw more tourists from Western Australia, which is expected to be worth $264 million in 2023, South Australia's fourth-largest interstate tourism market. Beginning on June 28 and running three times a week on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays, the new service will coincide with the beginning of the Western Australian school holidays. Economy one-way tickets start at $249 right now.
