Shorten's new NDIS bill prioritises needs-based, "more dignified" support.

A new Bill has been introduced in Parliament by the federal government. They intend to enact new legislation to alter the NDIS's operation. A fresh bill was introduced into Parliament today by the Australian Government. A bill is a proposed law that must be discussed and approved by the Parliament in order to become a law. The goal of the government's proposed legislation is to alter the NDIS's operation. Bill Shorten, Minister for the NDIS, spoke about this today in Canberra.

According to Bill Shorten, the government intends to modify the NDIS in two categories.

One set of modifications relates to concepts from the previous year's NDIS Review. It will take time for these adjustments. The second set of modifications will take place faster. This relates to modifications to NDIS services and planning. According to Minister Shorten, the government is interested in collaborating with families and individuals with disabilities regarding the Bill and the NDIS modifications. Inclusion Australia will put forth a lot of effort to ensure that the voices of individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families are heard by the government.
