Ventia has discovered a Cyber Incident that affects some of our systems.

Key internal systems have been safely re-enabled, and key external-facing networks are being gradually restored in accordance with our assurance process.

Ventia stated that customers will need systems assurance and that we are working with external cyber security experts to verify and improve our network security.

"Ventia continues to work closely with the relevant regulators and law enforcement as our investigation and response continues", the statement said.

Ventia believes the Cyber Incident is over.

Operations continue. Key internal systems have been safely re-enabled, and our assurance process is gradually restoring key external-facing networks."Ventia continues to work closely with relevant regulators and law enforcement as our investigation and response continue," the statement said.

Ventia has contained this incident by taking some key systems offline.

Ventia works with regulators and law enforcement and has hired cybersecurity experts.

Ventia continues operations. Our systems are monitored. They added, "As operations return to normal, we will not hesitate to take further protective action."

Ventia will notify our nominated customer representatives, regulators, and other stakeholders of the new information.

In March, the Western Australian government renewed the company's $229 million contract for at least four more years.

Ventia stated late Wednesday that its customers “will require systems assurance, and we are working with external cyber security experts to facilitate verification and continuous improvement of our network security.”

It stated that “key internal systems have been safely re-enabled” and that it is “confident that the cyber incident has been contained”.

“Additional key external-facing networks are being progressively restored in line with our assurance process,” Ventia said.

The company apologised for the system disruptions and said it is "working closely with the relevant regulators and law enforcement as our investigation and response continue."
